The 35-year old actress has been known for playing the same role in different dramas and she expressed her fear of being type-casted into the role. However, after meetings with Hong Kong producer Lam Chi Wah, Tsui eventually conceded to do the project, setting aside her fears.

In 'Tomorrow is Another Day', Tsui plays the role of a woman named Yiu Oi Ka, who is a police officer stationed to guard a female correctional facility. The character that she plays would appear to be a happy person, but is, in reality, an individual who conceals her emotional pain.

Yiu Oi Ka will grow attached to a man named Man Sheung Sing, who will portrayed by Hong Kong actor Lawrence Ng. Ng's character in the drama is also a law enforcement officer who is not ready to start yet another romantic relationship with anyone.

However, in the story, Ng's character would eventually realize that his feeling for Yiu Oi Ka transcends that of friendship despite originally seeing her as a sister.

On a side note, producer Lam stated that it is the third time that she is collaborating with Tsui. The producer praised the actress, saying that she was a plausible candidate for TV Queen, citing her performance in the drama.

"This is a very hard role to portray," says Lam, "but Kate's acting is very well-received by the public and she really gave a very heartwarming performance."

'Tomorrow is Another Day' will be making its Debut today, October 6, 2014.
