Oklahoma City Thunder and reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant might be the poster boy of NBA 2k15, but his body of work last season won't be enough to topple LeBron James as the highest-rated playable baller in the basketball simulation hit.
James, who shocked everybody this offseason after deciding to make his return in Cleveland and play with the Cavaliers moving forward, received a 98 rating from 2K Sports, three notches higher than Durant's 95.

After finishing runner-up multiple times to James, the 26-year old Durant finally bagged the regular-season MVP last season by averaging at least 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists per game for the Thunder.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is still the highest rated shooting guard in NBA 2k15 despite falling two notches from his 91 score last year. Bryant's 89 bested other shooting guards such as Houston Rockets' James Harden and Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade.
Los Angeles Clippers playmaker Chris Paul ranks no.1 in his position with score of 91 while Tim Duncan (91) of San Antonio Spurs and Dwight Howard (88) of the Rockets are the best ranked power forward and center, respectively.
