Elise Stefanik could become the youngest female lawmaker in U.S. Congress history if she wins in the midterm elections on November 4.
Stefanik, 30, is a member of the Republican party who is running for New York's 21st Congressional District. She was personally handpicked by House Speaker John Boehner to deliver the GOP's weekly address.

In her speech, Stefanik addressed American voters to take a "new direction of new ideas to unleash job creation and economic growth."
Here is the video of her speech:
Opponents label her as a "poster candidate," while a spokesman for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee tagged her as "a puppet for John Boehner and the far right wing."
Nonetheless, the Republicans are more than eager to win back the district which they lost five years ago. Stefanik's Democrat rival is Aaron Woolf, a multimillionaire filmmaker, who spent his own money into the campaign.
Stefanik graduated from Harvard University in 2006, where she was awarded the Women's Leadership Award. She also served her time on the Advisory Committee of Harvard's Institute of Politics as well as a contributor to The Harvard Crimson.
Before deciding to enter politics, Stefanik worked in her family's business, Premium Plywood Products Inc., in North Country, where she focused on sales, marketing and management.
She also worked as an aide during the final years of George W. Bush's administration and during Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. Stefanik added that her exposure in the 2012 race gave her the inspiration in transitioning to politics.
In a survey conducted by WWNY-7 News and the Siena Research Institute on October 2, Stefanik was leading the scores (46 percent) against Woolf, who got 33 percent of the votes. Sixty-eight percent of Republicans said they are pro-Stefanik, while 56 percent of Democrats are in favor of Woolf.
