A 78-year-old woman, who has been seen begging on the street, was confronted by an enraged man claiming to have been giving her money virtually every day.
According to Daniel Alyla, the outraged man who claimed to have been giving the woman money on account of his compassion of her plight, he typically sees the 78-year-old standing on the median close to the entry way of the Quail Springs Mall located at Pennsylvania Avenue.

"It made me mad when I saw her Monday behind this gas station parked counting the money, she had a lot of money in her lap and I couldn't take it," stated Alyla on Friday.
Alyla, who works two jobs to support himself and his family, claimed to have helped the old woman because of the condition she presented as her plight. He claimed that she could be seen raising a sign stating that she was a 78-year-old widow in dire need of money for food.
The confrontation allegedly took place when Alyla saw the same woman he had been giving money every day stop by a gas station driving a 2013 Fiat. When he positively identified the 78-year-old woman, Alyla became enraged and confronted her.
"You asking for money in the middle of the street and you drive a 2013 car," he told the woman. "I see you hungry, every day I give you three dollars, two dollars, Thursday I did not eat to give you four dollars," Alyla exclaimed.
The video of the encounter has been posted in social media sites, in which it gained 37, 000 shares on Facebook by the afternoon of Friday. Despite this, however, the 78-year-old woman was seen panhandling on the same spot on Friday as well.
In accordance with the information disclosed by the Homeless Alliance, approximately 20% of panhandlers are homeless.
Dan Straughan, the Homeless Alliance's executive director, explained that most of panhandlers people encounter asking for money typically do it in order to sustain unhealthy behaviors such as alcoholism and other addictions.
