Samsung wants to surpass the Micromax Canvas A1 with its Galaxy Core Prime.
The competition between the best Android smartphones is now heating up. Specifications and features should be closely considered when choosing on which to spend your hard earned money.
Hardware, software, and storage

Galaxy Core Prime: It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3 GHZ quad-core processor. It has a 1 GB of RAM and it comes with 8 GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64 GB).
Canvas A1: It's an Android 4.4 KitKat machine and is powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad-core processor. It features a Mali-400MP graphics and 1 GB RAM. Its 4 GB internal storage can support up to 32 GB capacity via a microSD card slot.
Display, design and build
Galaxy Core Prime: It features a 4.5-inch WVGA PLS display with 480 x 800 pixels screen resolution. Its simple design has an interchangeable rear back cover.
Canvas A1: It offers 4.5-inch FWVGA display; has good viewing angles and decent sunlight legibility. It has a 854 x 480 pixels screen resolution. It also features an interchangeable rear back cover.
Connectivity
Both mobile devices offer 3G, Wi-Fi, 3G/2G, Bluetooth v4.0, FM Radio, and GPS.
Camera and battery
Galaxy Core Prime: It sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. Its battery capacity is 2000 mAh.
Canvas A1: Its 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash has a metallic ring built for design. It has a 2 megapixel front-facing snapper. It only has a 1700 mAh battery unit.

Galaxy Core Prime: You can avail of the handset for US$140.
Canvas A1: It costs US$110.
