Gersh being part of Paltrow's business has come just weeks after Stewart said in an interview with The Edit that Paltrow "just needs to be quiet" since she is a movie star. Stewart added that if Paltrow was confident with her acting, she would not be trying to be a Martha Stewart. Paltrow did not comment on this neither did her representatives.
Seb Bishop was the former CEO of Goop but quit the said company on April 14 this year while Gersh left "Martha Stewart Living" on February 2013.
Paltrow released a statement complimenting Gersh noting that she was a visionary leader and is the perfect person to further enhance the website of Goop. Gersh is said to expand what Goop has to offer to their customers regarding what their readers read, try, buy and generally how they live.
Gersh has confirmed her new position as she took it to her social networking account writing the following statement: "As a fan since its launch, I've admired the inimitable voice and style Gwyneth has infused into Goop, and the business she's built."
It was not just Paltrow that has been criticized by Stewart as she also dissed on Blake Lively's "Preserve" lifestyle blog. She noted that soon-to-be-mom Lively did not have the confidence that an entrepreneur has and she just needs to stick with acting.
Lively has commented on this when she was interviewed but responded with a positive note. She said she will be taking the criticism of Stewart constructively and will still continue with two of her passions" acting and being a lifestyle coach.
