BlackBerry might be on to something with the BlackBerry Passport. It might not be in the same level of sales as the iPhone 6, but it has found a target niche in the business market and continues to run out of stock every few days, showing the large amount of interest.

In order to keep sales growing, the BlackBerry Passport may get some new color options, starting with gold. Leaked out earlier today via CrackBerry, the new gold edition is a lot darker and shiny than Apple's iPhone 6 gold option, but it looks good on the BlackBerry Passport.

The gold only goes around the sides of the device, where the metal frame attaches the front to the back. The rest of the BlackBerry Passport will remain black. This will be the same on the white option, coming later this month.

There are no other leaks on the BlackBerry Passport's different colors. It looks like BlackBerry will stick to three colors for the time being. Right now, the company needs to focus on keeping the phone in stock, instead of having customers wait two weeks to purchase the device.

The BlackBerry Passport offers a radical new design, with a 4.5-inch 1440 x 1440 square display and full qwerty keyboard. The phone is the same size as an international passport, making it a lot wider than normal Android phones and iPhones.

Customers can buy the BlackBerry Passport on BlackBerry's store (currently out of stock) or at AT&T on a two year contract for $249.99. No word on when it will hit Europe or Asia.
