As of the latest, there are 678 recorded deaths in Sierra Leone due to Ebola.

According to medical sources, the victim was in good spirits while being transported to the Oslo University Hospital on board a French Air Ambulance. She is being kept in total isolation and is under experimental treatment.

In a press conference, Medecins Sans Frontieres Norway Secretary General Anne-Cecile Kaltenborn said, "despite the circumstances, our colleague is still in good spirits."

Kaltenborn added that they are still trying to find out how the victim got infected with the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Senior Drug Officer Steinar Madsen said that Norway is now trying to get the last available dose of the prototype drug ZMapp. Norway is also trying to obtain other possible treatments such as the TKM-EBOLA and the Avigan.

Bjoern Guldvog, Norwegian's Health Ministry Officer, dismissed stories of a possible spread of Ebola in Norway. Guldvog said that there is minimal risk about the victim having infected other people.

The announcement of a Norwegian doctor with Ebola virus came a day after Spain declared its first case of Ebola in its country. A nursing assistant in Madrid Hospital was hospitalized on Sunday after learning that she had contracted the virus. She reportedly acquired the virus after nursing two Spanish missionaries who were repatriated from West Africa.

On Tuesday, three more were under hospital care in Madrid for observation.

The incident sparked concerns over the safety of doctors and nurses who are treating patients with Ebola.
