"I was just so afraid, I did not know how the scandal would affect my career" those were the exact words actress Jennifer Lawrence told Vanity Fair.
Lawrence originally met up with V.F's contributing editor Sam Kashner last August 13. Her nude photos were leaked just a few weeks after, on August 31st. Kashmir, then decided to contact the actress in hopes of giving her the chance "Have the last word."

Although the 24-year-old had previously decided not to address the issue, she agreed to speak to Kashner about the anger she felt at the time.
"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice. The fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world." the actress said.
She also says that she was tempted to write a statement about the scandal, but "Every single thing that I tried to write made me angry, some of them even made me cry. I started writing an apology, but then I realized I had nothing to apologize for. I was in a loving, healthy relationship for four years and it was long distance, so it was either my boyfriend would look at porn or at me."
The hardest part of the scandal, according to Lawrence was "Calling my father and telling him about the hack. Seriously, I did not care about how much money I get for the Hunger Games because that was when I realized that calling my dad to let him know about the photos --- the money was not worth it".
When asked about whether or not she wanted to say something to the tabloid community, the actress said "You have a choice. You don't have to be a person who spreads negativity and lies for a living. You can do something good. You can be good. Being good, feels better"
Her full interview can be seen on Vanity Fair's October issue which will be released on Thursday, October 9, 2014
