The date of singer Miley Cyrus during the Video Music Awards of MTV last August is reportedly sentenced to six months in jail. Jesse Halt was seen entering the court room and walked out of it minutes after handcuffed.

The 22-year-old together with his lawyer tried asking the judge handling the case for kindness. It has been reported that Attorney Whitney Boise, the defendant of Jesse, pleaded in court noting that he wanted the client not to be viewed as a nuisance in the society. He added that she believed her client was a good person.
However, Judge Monte Campbell noted that the continuous probation violations by Jesse lead to what they have decided. Jesse was arrested back in 2010 due to misdemeanor charges and was asked on 2011 to meet with a probation officer. Jesse failed to meet the assigned officer thus he was not able to complete the required community service tantamount to his violations.
Jesse has been in the spotlight ever since he accepted Miley's award at the VMA where he gave a speech regarding homeless people. He talked about his life and encouraged the viewers to help out other youth who are in shelters and has nowhere else to go.
Jesse is from Oregon and noted that he had to go to New York to pursue his modelling career. Reports also claim that after his appearance at the VMAs, he enrolled at a community college in order to help other people who are homeless.
Shortly after, news about Jesse being arrested in his hometown has emerged however Miley came to his defense saying that the media should just leave him alone. Miley reportedly bought the plane ticket for Jesse as he wanted to see his mother he has not been with for years now.
