The Los Angeles Police Department rushed to Stephen Collins' Tarzana, Calif., home Tuesday evening after receiving reports of neighbors hearing "a distinct pop" in the 7th Heaven star's residence.
Police immediately heeded the call for fear that someone must have been harmed or even committed suicide.

However, the police found out that nobody was actually hurt or tried to commit suicide, including Collins.
NBC News reports that LAPD managed to communicate with the actor through Facetime to make sure that he was safe.
"He's not dead; he's alive," an LAPD spokesperson tells People.
"He was not at home at the time of the alleged incident, and there's no evidence of any gun shot."
The false suicide reports surfaced after news of the 67-year-old actor's alleged confession to child molestation came out.
The last time the actor last posted his whereabouts on Twitter was Saturday, while buying tickets for the Carole King starrer "Beautiful," in New York.
Investigations over the molestation claims are already in progress. The New York Police Station is handling the case.
TMZ obtained an audio where the actor is heard discussing with his therapist and his ex, actress Faye Grant, about molesting a child.
Gran, however, denied claims of his involved with regards to the audio leak.
The investigation has already affected the actor's career.
A production staff of Ted 2 has already confirmed to E! that Collins has been dropped as one of the productions' stars.
Collins was also forced to resign from the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild, revealed Pamela Greenwalt, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer of Screen Actors Guild, also confirmed to E! News.
Collins became a household name for his role as the Reverend Eric Camden on The WB's TV series, 7th Heaven, which lasted for over 10 years.
Because of the scandal affecting Collins, UP TV has already canceled 7th Heaven reruns.
