Following Hong Kong actress Sire Ma's provocative lingerie video which surfaced online in late July this year, the actress seems to be bouncing back into the scene after being cast in Ann Hui's new movie, 'Eight and a Half Steps'.
This year hasn't been good for the 27-year old actress after news broke out that she had an affair with China producer Wang Ziqi and was involved in a scandal which involved a provocative video.

All the jobs lined up for Ma had been cancelled by TVB, her managing company and had been forced to go on hiatus with no projects waiting offered to her. The actress is said to have suffered from emotional stress and financial problems, making her seek refuge in England last August.
However, Ma has recently returned to Hong Kong out of the media's radar in order to take up the lead role that Ann Hui has offered her for the upcoming film, 'Eight and a Half Steps'.
The filmmaker is said to have personally requested Ma to become the lead actress in the movie. It will be Ma's first major comeback after taking a break from the showbiz industry.
The movie, which is set in the 1950s to the 1960s will be featuring eight storylines. 'Eight and a Half Steps' is considered a fairly big project with seven other mini stories features within one film. The movie is said to be directed by some of the industry's biggest names including Yuen Woo Ping and Patrick Tam.
On the other hand, Ma reportedly arrived at the production set for the film in the evening of Tueday, dressed in a blue school uniform with just a bit of makeup.
The actress appeared to be in a better mood compare to when she was dealing with the aftermath of the scandal, greeting the locals that spotted her and even took many photos with them.
