Most of the cast members, including Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam, are said to be returning to play their respective roles in the drama. TVB allegedly plans to retain the original plot about undercover agents, but will also be venturing to the background of Benz Hui's character, Foon Hei Gor.

Virginia Lok, the executive of TVB, stated that though the ratings in Hong Kong for 'Line Walker' are not out yet, the drama series is said to have generated a higher viewership rating compared to any other TVB drama based on mainland Chinese websites.

'Triumph in the Skies 2' which had  also garnered a lot of media and public attention had a movie version, Lok stated, so the company is also considering to make a film adaptation of 'Line Walker'.

According to Lok, in order to accommodate the viewer market, it is inevitable to add more actors and characters in the film. On the other hand, she revealed that they would have to cut the idea of having 'black cops' in order to make the film more appealing to the Mainland Chinese market.

TVB's 'Line Walker', which also features Michael Miu, Samantha Ko and Sharon Chan, has become one of the mist-discussed dramas during its run-time in Hong Kong as well as in China.

The gripping plot of the story appealed to the viewers, resulting to the drama's high ratings.
