Newlyweds Kelly Ecker, a nurse, and Doctor George Scott Samson, were found dead in their home after it was reported that Samson killed his wife then shot himself on Saturday afternoon just hours after their wedding outside Terre Haute, Indiana.

Authorities have confirmed that the incident came hours after the two got married and witnesses have released a statement saying that the bride and groom had tension between them right after they both said "I do."

Vigo County Sheriff Chief Deputy Clark Cottom noted that some of the guests who were in attendance at the reception noted that Ecker and Samson did not speak at all after the wedding. However, the newlyweds hosted a party with some of the guests invited to their home.

Reportedly, minutes after all the guests left the venue, the county dispatch center received a 911 call from Ecker. The call was cut but another call came a minute after.

In the second call, Ecker said that "he is beating the s*** out of me" and identified her husband as Scott Samson and further noting that he had guns. The call was again disconnected.

A third call was received just minutes later in which officials allege that the caller sounded more distressed and the situation had definitely escalated.

When officials arrived at Samson's home, they found Ecker's body in a bedroom along with her 10-year-old son who was reportedly unharmed.

Authorities determined that Samson had fled the scene and were later able to locate him using a robotic tracking device. It was determined that Samson had killed himself.

The doctor was reportedly a gun enthusiast with a federal firearms license which is why there were so many firearms in his home. Authorities are now taking inventory of the weapons found and investigating the motive for the murder/suicide.
