An American Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas on Tuesday evening after a passenger allegedly showed flu-like symptoms while the plane was in the air.
A crew wearing hazmat suits removed the female passenger who felt ill and vomited after the American Airlines Flight 2791 landed at the Midland International Airport and Spaceport late on Tuesday.

While paramedics responding to the call were discussing a possibility yet another Ebola case in the U.S., Midland spokesperson Sara Bustilloz deemed it "highly unlikely."
"At this point we are considering it not to be Ebola but we never want to rule anything completely out," she stated, adding that the victim did not have a fever which is also one of the symptoms of the dreaded disease.
According to Bustilloz, the flight was actually scheduled to land at the Midland airport and was only considered as an emergency landing due to a report from the pilot citing that a passenger needed medical attention upon arrival.
Reportedly, at some point in the flight "Ebola was mentioned," giving rise to concern.
However, they clarified that the woman did not manifest fever making an Ebola case "highly unlikely," though the responding staff "took infectious disease precautions in transporting the passenger to a local hospital to be treated and monitored."
Meanwhile, 69 other passengers on the flight were told to watch out for possible Ebola symptoms and were soon released after giving their most up-to-date contact information.
In other news, Chicago firefighters were deployed to O'Hare International Airport following reports of a female passenger falling ill on the United Flight 1543 from the LaGuardia Airport in New York while a male passenger was removed and quarantined at the Orlando International Airport after he got sick.
The man from the Southwest Airlines Flight 718 that landed at the Orlando airport reportedly had travelled to West Africa in August.
Both reported possible Ebola cases were revealed to have been false alarms.
