It provides readers insights on the thinking and practice of the President and the central leadership. In addition, the book discusses the path the President has taken and will take in steering China towards its future direction.
Cai Minzhao of China's Information Office said that since the 18th National Congress of the communist party two years ago, the international community is keeping an eye on the development of China and the influence it will bring to the world.
The book has been praised internationally with several authors and organizations calling it a "milestone".
"The book is about how he thinks. It reflects the pride of a patriot," said Robert Lawrence Kuhn, chairman of U.S. Kuhn Foundation.
Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said that ever since Xi assumed the Presidency and the central leadership, China has put in place an ambitious and comprehensive reform plan.
He said the book will help outsiders understand China's politics as it explains the position of President Xi and the central leadership on the reform plan.
Xi devoted part of the book to address the concerns of the international community, recording his practice in running the government together with the central leadership and providing the outsiders a glimpse on Chinese affairs for them to understand China better.
The book has been published in several languages including Chinese, English, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Japanese.
The book carries 18 sections composed of Xi's speeches, question and answer sessions, and instructions from 2012-2014. The book also contains 45 pictures of Xi taken during his childhood up to his present position.
