Tweets that were divided in three parts have been up on the social networking site by the head of the news unit at Twitter Vivian Schiller. The tweets contained her announcement that she is officially "stepping aside" form her position.
Her resignation is the latest of the many departures by some of the people at Twitter who had high positions in the company. The departures started last year.

In the first part of her tweet, she said, she is stepping down from her position so as to let the new global head of media Katie Stanton reorganize the current system at Twitter. Stanton was promoted back in July after the successful international expansion in Paris.
Schiller added that she wishes nothing but the best for all the staff at Twitter.
In her second tweet, she thanked the predecessors of Stanton namely Chloe Sladden and former Chief Financial Officer Ali Rowghani. The two left the company a few months earlier.
And her last tweet reads: "And mostly, thanks to all the great journalists and newsrooms I collaborated with. Your innovation & creativity is an inspiration."
Schiller has been on Twitter since October of last year. She was originally part of NBC News and was the chief digital officer of the network. She also worked for NPR and the New York Times handling senior positions.
