A new series from NBC entitled Constantine is based on DC comic's Hellblazer. The characters on the comic book will now come to life since the network will release it on October 24 for the public to watch.

The story will revolve around an exorcist named John Constantine (played by Matt Ryan) who also has a dark past. He is a con artist who has troubles dealing with his past iniquities but at the same time, he is working his way to be a hero to save mankind from an unknown evil force.

The network already released a teaser via their official website and fans of the comic book are definitely excited about it. Constantine's character on the show is a bit complicated to play because he is the protagonist while being a villain at the same time.

Due to the many sins he has committed, he is already doomed to go to hell so he doesn't mind anymore being totally bad. But it all changed when a girl named Liv (played by Lucy Griffiths) becomes the aim of demons to possess.

Constantine changed his mind and wanted to be a better person this time just to rescue her.

As for Liv's character, she possesses some supernatural gift as well that involves seeing through the other dimension and also having a clue of what could happen in the future that is somewhat unnatural.

Apparently, some evil force is insecure about the fact that she has it and that makes her a viable candidate for demons to be after her. Constantine will do everything to be with her and make sure she is safe. And since Liv is gifted with a supernatural power, the two of them made it a mission to hunt for demons roaming around our world just to send them to eternal doom.

Daniel Ceron is penning this series and critics are already saying that it could be a hit since he also wrote The Mentalist and Dexter, which also turned out to be a hit.

The pilot for the show will air on October 24, 2014 entitled Non Est Asylum.
