Tomonori Miwa, Sales Director of Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics Japan, said the company is "thrilled to introduce the Galaxy Note Edge to Japanese consumers
for the first time."
Tomonori also believes "the Galaxy Note Edge will meet the aesthetics of the most practical Japanese consumers."
Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6 inch curved QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a Snapdragon 805 processor from Qualcomm, a 16 megapixel rear camera and 3.7 megapixel front camera.
The device also comes with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB and up to 128 GB storage, a 3000 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Charcoal Black version will start selling on October 23 while the Frost White will come in mid-November, some sources confirmed.
Along with Galaxy Note Edge, other Samsung products such as the Galaxy Note 4, Gear S smartwatch and Gear VR headset were also released during the IFA event in Berlin last September 3.
