Hong Kong actress Samantha Ko allegedly rose to fame quickly due to her connections to Charles Chan, TVB's major shareholder, as reported by a media outlet, however, the actress denied the claims.

A Hong Kong tabloid has released news that Ko had connections with Chan, claiming that the actress' designer cloths and the luxury car she drives were allegedly given to her by the TVB boss.

Furthermore, the report also claimed that Chan helped Ko to nab a role in Wong Jing's movie, 'From Vegas to Macau'.

Since debuting seven years ago, the 27-year old actress, who also starred in the hit TVB drama 'Line Walker', has always been linked to Chan. In the past, she has denied any romantic relationship with him.

However, now, after the release of the news, Ko expressed that the tabloid has gone too far in spilling dirt on her personal life and reputation, and is said to be planning to take legal action against the tabloid.

On an interview that Ko had with a media outlet, she claimed that she does not know Chan and does not even have the opportunity to greet said TVB boss at company events.

Furthermore, the 'From Vegas to Macau' star also clarified the claims that Chan had provided designer clothes and a car for her, saying that the clothes she wears at events are all sponsored by various fashion brands.

Other than that, she denied claims that she drives a luxury car, also refuting claims that she was seen riding Chan's car as the tabloid reported. The actress stated that she often takes a cab or the bus whenever she goes to work.

However, what upset the actress more was the claim that she secured a role in Wong's movie as a result of Chan's help. She then said that she auditioned for the role before being chosen for the part and did not get help for it whatsoever.
