New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen thinks President Barack Obama should focus efforts on dealing with world crises rather than the November midterm elections.
During a Q&A on Andrea Mitchell Reports, Shaheen said she was grateful to have Bill and Hillary Clinton on her side to help her win in the race against rival Republican Scott Brown.

But when asked if having Obama campaign for her would be helpful, she said she was glad the president decided to keep his distance.
The president has a lot on his plate right now, Shaheen explained, noting the continued threat of the Islamic State in the Middle East and the Ebola scare in West Africa.
"I expect him to be in Washington," she added.
According to a recent WSJ/NBC News/Annenberg poll, 60 percent of Democrats view an Obama endorsement of a candidate favorable. While the figure is relatively high and above the 50 percent mark, the score ranks lower than Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton who got 70 and 65 percent of the votes, respectively.
And with the commander-in-chief's sagging popularity, it is no wonder he is keeping out of the picture. A Gallup survey pegged Obama's most recent weekly average job approval rating at 43 percent.
Meanwhile, GOP rival Scott Brown lambasted Shaheen for her remarks.
While Shaheen thinks her timely attempt to distance herself from Obama could play in her favor, her record in the past six years has proven she has stood by the president and embraced "every single one" of his policies, Brown's spokesperson Elizabeth Guyton said.
New Hampshire constituents are smart enough to see through Shaheen's election rhetoric. On Nov. 4, the people will be able pass judgment on the Obama/Shaheen schema by electing Brown, she added.
Hillary Clinton will visit New Hampshire on Nov. 2 to support incumbents Shaheen and Gov. Maggie Hassan.
