It seems that Gwyneth Paltrow is into making buddies.

The Goop founder revealed that she wants to get to know ex-husband Chris Martin's new girlfriend, Jennifer Lawrence.

Martin and Lawrence have only been dating for two months but Paltrow is eager to meet the "Hunger Games" actress. The source said she was actually "ready" to meet her ex-husband's new flame.

"She'd like to spend a little time with her and thinks they'd probably get along," told an insider.

Paltrow, according to the insider, is fine with her ex dating the younger actress. The insider said that Paltrow was okay with them dating as long as he took a bit of time before introducing his new girlfriend to their children.

"Gwyneth wants to be sure about her," said the insider.

The insider also added a few details on how Paltrow is feeling about Martin and Lawrence's relationship. "Her take is, 'Hey, he could do worse.' She just wants him to be happy."

Chris Martin has been very vocal about his relationship with the "Hunger Games" actress. Another insider has said in September that the "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" singer has "fallen in love" with Jennifer.

Paltrow and Martin announced their split -- or, in her words, "conscious uncoupling" -- in March, but has remained friends the months following their breakup.

The Coldplay singer, though he moved out of their marital home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, moved just right across the street from his ex-wife. Perhaps this strange move was to remain close to his two children with Paltrow, Apple, 10 and Moses, 8.

Blythe Danner, Gwyneth's mother, was even there to help Martin move into his new house.

Martin and Paltrow's efforts at remaining friends was seen when the singer threw Paltrow a birthday party in his new house. Not only was this aww-worthy, but it gives a good message to their children.
