The highly controversial cartoon show, South Park, recently delved into the topic of gender equality and they included singer Lorde in the storyline. Fortunately the young singer was not insulted, in fact, she was amused that the show would even poke fun at her.

The singer posted clips from the show's latest episode in which it is "revealed" that the young singer is in fact a 45-year-old geologist from Colorado.

"This is surprisingly cute--" the singer says on her instagram page "And from what I can tell the episode also has the message of gender equality, although I am not sure if they were genuine" she added.

The social media posts did not stop there in fact the singer posted another clip and said "Well sh*t this is downright sweet, take that haters I got a south park episode".

Another tweet from the singer said "I don't actually watch south park, but from what I can tell sia was involved and someone's mum said something really nice about me.. So score!"

Even though Lorde was able to see the good in the episode, the show had already mocked her in a previous episode with a storyline about how Stan's dad is actually the Grammy-winner and that Randy created Lorde as an alter ego whenever he wanted to use the women's bathroom and while in there he recorded auto tuned songs.

"South Park" airs in the US on Comedy Central every Wednesday night at 10 p.m. EDT.
