While most love declarations are accepted with open arms, Hilary Duff is feeling uncomfortable about ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter's upfront declarations on Twitter.
On "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen Wednesday, October 8, the singer-actress was asked questions regarding Aaron Carter and "Lizzie McGuire."

When asked how she felt about him declaring his feelings for her over the internet, Duff said, "Andy! I'm going to hurt you right now. Ugh! I don't know," she said, reiterating that she had been asked this question numerous times already since the declarations started.
"I don't know what to say about it! It was so many years ago. I literally haven't seen him in... so it's uncomfortable," Duff admitted.
Cohen then replied that "He's just feeling you on Twitter, publicly," to which the actress responded, "It's nice to be felt."
Giada De Laurentiis, a fellow show guest, felt a little bit out of the loop. Apparently, she did not know that the two had a relationship before.
De Laurentiis asked Duff if she ever dated Aaron Carter. "Oh, yes, yes. When I was 13... He was very sweet. When I was 13," Duff answered.
Luck is not on Carter's side, it seems, as Duff told BuzzFeed just last month that they were in different phases of their lives at the moment.
"He keeps doing that," the actress said of his declarations. "I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just... don't know each other," she said.
Carter seemed to take a hint after hearing about his ex's comments. He then has been telling people that he was willing to let Duff go.
"I don't know Hilary either. She don't know me and I don't know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think it's time..." the heartbroken singer said.
Duff also addressed what she said recently about a possible "Lizzie McGuire" reunion. "I don't know. Somebody asked me that the other day, and now it's blowing up everywhere," she said. "I'm busy right now, so who knows? Maybe in 20 years. Why not?"
