Apple does not want to be seen as a giant gadget maker only, but the company wants to be in fashion as well.

The Cupertino-based company wants to put their first wearable, Apple Watch, on the cover of fashion magazine Vogue China. Apple invited members of the fashion community to see the unveiling of its Apple Watch.

They also held a few events in Paris, France during the Paris Fashion Week on September just to promote the wearable.

Apple Watch won't be in any shop shelves for the coming months. However, consumers would be delighted to see the smartwatch on the cover of November edition of Vogue China.

The cover features Apple Watch worn by the 26-year-old model Liu Wen.

Liu Wen wears a multi-stripe knit frock with the watch prominently displayed on her wrist. Other pages of the magazine features her with different outfits accessorized with the watch with various bands.

There are rumors saying that she'll appear in the impending Apple campaign for its first wearable.

"It is becoming increasingly clear that Apple is putting substantial effort into positioning its watch as a premium fashion item," said Ben Wood, analyst at CCS Insight.

Online publication The Guardian pointed out that featuring Apple Watch in Vogue China with 1.3 million readers is a good start to introduce the smartwatch to the Chinese market.

Choosing Vogue China is probably one of the best fashion magazines for the editorial debut of Apple Watch.

Vogue China Editor-in-Chief Angelica Cheung said that Chinese people are considered as very 'digitally minded' and they can easily adopt new technology and digital products as compared to other people.

"We are an ancient country but at the same time a very young country when it comes to fashion and new products. We love to embrace everything that is new, modern and positive,” Cheung added.
