ABC's new sitcom Selfie made its pilot back in September 30 starring Karen Gillan (from Doctor Who) as Eliza Dooley and her character is someone who is desperate to be famous that she is obsessed on the idea of people liking her pictures on social networks. The show is like the modern version of the musical My Fair Lady back in 1956. This is created by Emmy award winning writer Emily Kapnek (As Told by Ginger).

After its debut on TV, the ratings didn't turn out good for the show. They just finished the 2nd episode and fans are not so impressed about it. But despite of the weak ratings it is getting, the network is brave enough to still continue. So far, they are not saying they are cancelling the show anytime soon because it could still be picked up and the viewers could love their next episodes.
Critics however doubt that Selfie would last on air with such low ratings it has received after the first 2 episodes. And according to TV experts, the fact that there is no huge name that plays as a lead role in this show; there is a very little chance for the series to survive. The story on the other hand is very timely because almost everybody is hooked on social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Other cast of this sitcom includes John Cho (Harold and Kumar) as Henry Higgs, Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Ghost The Musical on Broadway) Charmonique Whitaker, Allyn Rachel as Bryn and David Harewood as Sam Saperstein.
Selfie is booked for two more episodes this season. Episode 3 is entitled "With A Little Yelp From My Friends" and it will air on October 14, while Episode 4 is entitled "Nugget of Wisdom" and it will air on October 21 only on ABC.
