Pebley was talking to the shop owner when he overheard the remark and approached the unidentified man "getting in his face", this caused a reported 30-second fight outside the shop which then went on at the sidewalk near the neighboring Tattoo & Piercing parlor, where Pebley was shot dead, all this went down in broad daylight.
Black Derby Smoke Shop manager, James Mayen said "The suspect was already shopping inside when Pebley walked in and sat down to talk to the owner. The suspect was making his way out of the store when he turns to Pebley and says something, which in turn makes Pebley leave his chair and walk straight over to him." It is unknown what the suspect said to Pebley to make the tattoo artist very upset and confront the said man.
Chris Brown, tweeted and instagrammed his condolences when he heard about his friend/tattoo artists death. Saying "RIP homie, sh*t is crazy"
Pebley was also a body piercer and a member of the Seventh Letter graffiti crew where he is known as Mr. Trigger (aka Trigz ONE), he leaves behind a fiancée and five children.
a GoFundMe campaign has been started to help raise money for his family as well as for his funeral expenses.
