Not all superhero shows on TV last that long but CW's The Flash is looking like a promising one due to the success in ratings it has received after airing its pilot. This DC comics turned TV series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen (also know as The Flash) is about a cop/scientist who got hit by lightning while trying to survive a gnarly accident.

The whole event caused him to experience nine months of being in coma. He found himself possessing some supernatural strength that involves having the ability to move in an extremely fast phase after waking up from it. And since discovering that kind of ability, he decided to be this vigilante rescuing anyone who gets in trouble in his town Central City.

The teaser of the show alone had already made a lot of people intrigued since they released it. Critics already had an idea that it is going to be a good one. It is the network's spinoff from their other TV series, Arrow. The CW has not had such a high rating for a pilot since The Vampire Diaries, which they released back in 2009. David Nutter who directed it really did a great job. The first show gained 4.79 M of viewers and that number is expected to rise in the next episodes.

Now for a little spoiler: one of their famous guest stars, Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) will actually be in one of its episodes. He will play the role of Leonard Snart also known as Captain Cold. His character involves having the super ability to freeze anything using his freeze gun.

This new series is still only available in the US and Canada, but by December of this year, people in Australia would be able to enjoy it as well. Catch it every Tuesday night at 8 PM on CW.
