Hong kong actor-singer Steven Ma is out to prove he is well, hiking around San Francisco ala Forrest Gump and taking in the city's cool morning breeze and fresh greenery.
The popular star was earlier hospitalized in Hong kong for symptoms of hypertension and was advised by his doctor to slow down on coffee, booze and "intensity".

Surely, one can do without the first two, but to tell an artist to tone down the intensity is like asking him to douse the flames of his creative muse down to embers.
It was Steven's intensity and passion for work that got him out of hospital to fly out to San Francisco for a scheduled two-show concert that had been sold out months before.
He was, however, more mindful of his health now than ever before, confessing on his blog that work was not the first thing on his mind when he woke up to San Francisco's mornings.
"The morning of San Francisco. I woke up really early today. After eating breakfast and working out at the gym, I took a hike by myself. The sky is clear and the morning is crisp. There is greenery everywhere. It is joyful and relaxing indeed," Steven wrote.
He accompanied the Weibo post with photos of him hiking on the hills of San Francisco.
Steven, who made his debut as a singer in 1993, achieved fame for his supporting role in the 1995 legal drama, "File of Justice IV".
Among his critically acclaimed works for television include the "Healing Hands" in 1998, the "Return of the Cuckoo" in 2000, and "Where the Legend Begins" in 2002.
Steven holds the record with four recognitions for the most "Favorite Character Award." He is best known for his portrayal of historical characters in period dramas for television.
The 42-year old star has a habit of drinking up to five cups of coffee a day prior to his hospitalization but has since cut it down to just one cup a day.
"While in America, my footsteps slowed down. Slowing down evoked a different kind of feeling. I was also very relax during my shows thus enjoyed myself immensely, so the standard of my singing was even better than before," Steven said in his microblog.
Despite learning to finally heed his body's warning signs, Steven is taking his medical reports seriously, and wants to know exactly why his blood pressure rises whenever he is home, particularly when he is working in the mainland.
