Lucasfilm and Lucasfilm Animation recently teamed up with Disney to release an animation of the hit movie franchise Star Wars, naming this animated series Star Wars Rebels.

The show made its pilot last October 3 on the Disney channel and it received a whopping amount of 6.5 millions of viewers. For a first episode of an animated series, this is definitely a good sign.

The story is not complete without Darth Vader's character, and who else is better to do his voice than James Earl Jones, who also did the voice of the same character from the original Star Wars movie. Jones is really gifted when it comes to having that amazing tone on his speaking voice and that's what made him become successful in the entertainment business. He is also the voice behind The Lion's King's character Mufasa, so this is not the first time he will be working with Disney.

It is actually a special cameo for Jones to do Darth Vader's voice again.As of the moment, the producers of the animated series has not yet released any statement if it is going to be a recurring role nor did they say anything about it airing outside America.

In the cast, another popular name is included: Freddie Prince Jr. who actually plays the lead role of Kanan Jarrus. He is a jedi who is more than willing to battle with the empire.

The pilot alone made such a great impact that the show just renewed its contract to be back for the second season. It has won the hearts of children from all ages, and that is one of the reasons why it is such a hit.

Catch this new animated series Star Wars Rebels as it continues to air this time on ABC at 7 PM, October 26, 2014.
