Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang arrived in Moscow on Sunday to discuss Kremlin's present economic woes with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
Li's visit marks a major development in China and Russia's bilateral relations, according to Chinese Vice Minister Cheng Guoping. Both countries will engage in a joint communication that is expected to produce 50 agreements between China and Russia, Cheng explained.

On Sunday, Deputy foreign minister Igor Morgulov, revealed the talks would focus on nuclear energy, natural gas, banking and financing. The Chinese Prime Minister's visit will be able to allow them to make substantial progress regarding the said areas that will lead to a major cooperation between China and Russia, added Morgulov.
This is the first visit of Prime Minister Li in Russia and it has come days after the economy of Russia is said to be struggling due to the threats it has posed to the international community by helping the separatists in Ukraine. Critics have noted that due to Russia assisting Ukraine, Beijing is all the more willing to cooperate with Moscow, according to Yahoo News.
China is seeking to spread its sources of energy due to the booming consumption of its inhabitants while Russia is seeking fast-developing Asian markets in order to assist the troubles of the country in terms of economy, critics added.
In May this year, Russia and China inked US$400 billion deal that included 38 million cubic meters of gas annually given by Russia to China, the report detailed.
Moscow and Beijing were once enemies during the Cold War. However, the two nations have developed common goals, with both wanting to counter the dominance of the United States.
Russia and China also work together in the UN Security Council and are using their veto power in opposing decisions of the West related to global crisis and concerns.
Aside from meeting Putin, Prime Minister Li will also meet his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev to discuss a forum on innovations. His visit will total to three days, the report stated.
