The sixth seeded Riske defeated 17-year-old Belinda Bencic of Switzerland in a commanding two set matchup 6-3 6-4.
"It's a huge accomplishment for me to win my first WTA title," Riske said. "I was here by myself, which made it even more special, just to know that I was able to do it by myself."
Samantha Stosur successfully defended her title at the Japan Open in Osaka after defeating a valiant effort from Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan in two straight sets 7(9)-6(7) 6-3.
Stosur, 30, took an early break in the second set and another before serving out to collect her first title of the year.
The 2011 U.S. Open champion collected her third title of the tournament with one second place finish against Marion Bartoli also in 2011.
In Austria, Karolina Pliskova was triumphant as she came back from a set down to defeat Italian Camila Giorgi 6(4)-7(7) 6-3 7(7)-6(4) and claimed the Generali Laies Linz crown.
The 22-year-old Czech led 5-1 in the third set but failed to serve out for the match twice as Giorgi rallied to take the deciding set into overtime. She ultimately won the match on her first chance in the tie-breaker.
This is Pliskova's second WTA title of the year with the first one last September at the Korea Open. She also has three WTA doubles titles along with twin sister Krystina and former partner Michaella Krajicek.
Only two WTA tournaments remain before the prestigious year-ending BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore, the Kremlin Cup in Moscow which Pliskova will participate in and the BGL Luxembourg Open.
