A free bonus mode will be included when players pre-order Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4, says game developer Capcom.
Michiteru Okabe, Resident Evil's producer, disclosed the announcement during a panel at the New York City Comic-Con 2014.

Gamers who choose to pre-order the game for PlayStation consoles will receive the Raid Mode Throwback, an alternative of the Raid Mode introduced in the first game. This game has gamers fight their way out via maps from the single player campaign against various enemies.
Raid Mode Throwback works similar to this but features stages from the previous Resident Evil games.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be available for pre-order on October 14 for PlayStation 4 while the PlayStation 3 pre-order will happen in late October.
The game will be released in four episodes. Players can buy each game for US$6 and have the option to buy them all for US$25.
The US$25 bundle consists of four chapters and some added game content that will be announced later on.
After releasing the four episodes, Capcom will launch a disc-based version of Revelations 2 featuring the four episodes and additional content. It will cost around US$40.
The game is also coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 follows the story of Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, Barry Burton's daughter.
Capcom said they aim to go back to the roots of the game, which are horror games first and foremost and action games second.
