The Evil Within is now scarier and more terrifying, according to Sony.

Bethesda, the game publisher behind The Evil Within, released a video displaying the game's twisted nightmare world and some of the tactics players will need to use to survive in it.

The survival horror game's latest trailer is titled "Worlds Within," which shows more than a dozen various traps, monstrosities and terrifying settings players will encounter.

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks' return to show-off a pure survival horror game.

The new title features a darkly gothic tale of mad scientists and haunted mansions. It follows the story of the main character, detective Sebastian Castellanos, who led the disturbance at an abandoned insane asylum.

The asylum, however, is full of a squad of dead police officers and murderous spectral forces on the loose.

The game trailer shows that if players aren't careful enough, they won'tsurvive the game and will be trapped.

Other parts of the game take place via a series of supernaturally charged environments that may be real places or figments of Ruvik's splintered imagination.

The Evil Within is set to release on October 14 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners in Europe and North America.

It will also be released in Australia on October 16, New Zealand on October 17 and Japan on October 23.
