According to the court documents, the case had been assigned to a Bensalem detective following the retirement of the police officer previously handling the matter. The case had been reassigned in February, in the victim had already been interviewed by the new officer in charge. The detective assigned to the case revealed that the victim is now 15 years old.
Following the interview, the investigating officers searched for Arango. The suspect had been located in August.
Based on the details disclosed by the investigators, Arango issued a letter of apology to the girl he sexually molested for years after confessing his crime to the authorities.
