Sony will launch its new Xperia Z3v in the United States on October 23.
Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. wireless carrier, will begin selling Sony's latest handset at US$199 on a two-year contract.
Although Sony partnered with T-Mobile to carry its Xperia Z3 last month, Verizon will exclusively offer the Xperia Z3v to U.S. mobile customers.

Xperia Z3v brings many of the company's "latest innovations and standout features to Verizon customers in the US."
"In addition, we've collaborated with Verizon to bring additional capabilities with their customer in mind, such as wireless charging using the latest inductive 'Qi' technology," the Japanese consumer electronics maker added.
The Xperia Z3v features a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a 20.7 megapixel camera and the highest waterproof rating. It can shoot high-resolution videos.
Moreover, Sony's newest smartphone also comes with 32 GB internal memory, S-Force Front Surround for stereo speakers, non-removable 3,200mAh battery and a durable design.
One of Xperia Z3v's special features is the PlayStation 4 Remote Play. Users can connect the handset to the PlayStation 4 Dual-Shock controller to play the console's games.
The newest flagship phone from Sony will be available on the mobile operator's online and retail stores, reports confirmed.
