David Ferrer and Andy Murray are hyping up their bids for the year-ending WTA World Tour Finals to be held in London this coming November 10.

Four players have already qualified in the eight-man short list of the prestigious event with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic leading the pack followed by recent Shanghai Rolex Masters champion Roger Federer.

French Open titlist Rafael Nadal comes in at third and Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka is at number four.

The 32-year-old Spaniard is currently in 9th place, just 35 points behind 8th placer Milos Raonic. He surpassed Andy Murray in China after beating the Scot in the third round and accumulated some valuable points in the quarterfinals.

Ferrer was interviewed after the match and said that his goal is to reach the season-ending event.

"I am fighting for the ATP World Tour Finals in London. It's important for me. We don't have too many tournaments. We have only three tournaments more to be in London," said Ferrer.

Britain's No. 1 Murray is not too far back in 10th place with just a mere 60 points behind Ferrer. He was able to gain some points after winning his first ATP title this year at the Shenzhen Open.

"You need to just concentrate on trying to win your matches," Murray said. "That's the best thing that you can do for your chances to qualify. If you start hoping that other guys are going to lose, spending time worrying about everyone else's results, then it takes energy away from your own performances."

Both Murray and Ferrer will be competing in the same three tournaments that Ferrer mentioned the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, Valencia Open 500 in Spain and BNP Paribas Masters in Pars.

The Canadian star Raonic will be participating in the other two tournaments, the Kremlin Cup in Moscow and the Swiss Indoors in Basel but will also make an appearance at the Masters 1000 event in France.
