It will not be the first time that Thai Princess Sirindhorn will visit China. In fact, the Thai princess has been visiting the country during the past three decades both official and privately.
In 2011, the princess released an album that featured the highlights of her three decades of travel to China. The album was published by the Bangkok Bureau of the official Xinhua News Agency.
The album includes a prelude written by the princess and dedications from prominent people, including Thai monk V Vajiramedhi and Xinhua News Agency President Li Congjun.
The album features about 100 pictures taken by Xinhua photographers, chronicling the visit of the princess over the past 30 years. The album, experts said, underlined the friendship between Thailand and China.
The princess, the second daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, has a very good background in Chinese culture, having studied Chinese language and culture in recent years. She also speaks several languages, including Thai, French, German, English and Chinese.
Last December, another Thai princess, Chulabhorn Mahidol, visited China to perform at a concert at a Beijing University.
The Thai princess played a Chinese classical zither called Gu Zheng before the audience composed of dignitaries and government officials, led by Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong.
