The Dallas Cowboys bounced back after a 10-0 deficit to beat the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, 30-23.

Early in the game, the Cowboys were not in a good place.

After only his sixth snap of the game, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo took a direct blow to his ribs. It sent him straight to the ground where he spent nearly a minute trying to get back to his feet.

Afterwards, a punt was smothered by the Seahawks defense and was returned for a touchdown. This brought the defending champions up, 10-0.

Romo and his team rebounded though and took up the challenge, starting with a touchdown pass to Gavin Escobar.

The second quarter was all Cowboys, and by the end of the first half, they were up, 17-10.

The game was a back and forth though, with the Seahawks fighting back and keeping it close throughout.

Russell Wilson ran nine yards early in the third to equalize the scores. A field goal by Steven Hauschka brought the Seahawks up by three, but the Cowboys' Dan Bailey answered with a field goal of his own.

Going into the fourth, the scores were tied at 20 apiece.

The Cowboys pulled away in the final quarter though, with DeMarco Murray capping off a nine-play drive with a 15 yard touchdown run. Bailey also added a field goal in the end, and Rolando McClain intercepted a pass to clinch the win for the Cowboys.

For the first time since 2007, the Cowboys have improved their record to 5-1.

The win came due to running back Murray and a much improved defense that left Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson confused.

Murray ran a total of 115 yards this game, using the improved offensive line to make his way down the field. After this game, he joins Jim Brown as the only running backs to start an NFL season with six straight 100-yard games.
