"7th Heaven" Actors Lose Out On Residuals Due to Stephen Collins Scandal

Following the release of actor Stephen Collins' recorded molestation confessions, "7th Heaven" has been removed from syndication and is no longer being aired on TV. The now-defunct show has been airing reruns since it ended, but its absence from television means that the actors from the show will no longer be receiving residual checks from the show again.

Niki and Sam Saletta, child actors who appeared in the family-oriented show, has publicly complained about TV Guide and UPTV's move to pull the reruns off of their schedules.

Niki played "Deena Stewart" on 18 episodes, and Sam was "George Camden" on 6 episodes.

TV Guide and UPTV were the last two channels airing the 11-season series in the United States.

Their manager and mother, Caryn Ross, shared with gossip site TMZ that neither she nor her children saw anything in Collins that made him look suspicious. She stated that he never seemed to be a threat to her children or to the other children in the cast, saying that she never had any concerns about Collins".

Collins, who played Eric Camden, a minister and caring father to seven children in "7th Heaven", has recently been fired from "Ted 2", dropped by his talent agency and cut out of a "Scandal" episode he was supposed to appear in.

Since the onset of the scandal, Collins has also resigned from his post on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild.

His former wife, actress Faye Grant, sought out one of Collins' victims to tell her that she was sorry for what she had gone through.

Grant wrote in an email, "I knew Stephen was a narcissist. I did not know he was a pedophile."

She also claimed that Collins "is not remorseful, shows no guilt, and his shame is demonstrated as extreme self-pity.

The actor has yet to release a statement about the recording.
