(Photo : Reuters) People walk on a painted street in southwestern China's Chongqing municipality June 2, 2007. A professor from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute suggested painting the buildings along the 1.25 kilometres (0.7 miles) street to modernise it, according to local media.
The teaching qualification of a retired college professor had been revoked due to allegations of sexual harassment filed by two female students against him.
Wang Xiaojia, a retired college professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, issued a public apology regarding his scandalous behavior with two of his female students during a dinner meet up with them.

Although Wang has already retired from the academic institution, which is located southwest of Chongqing in China, the ex-college teacher still visited the school to deliver lectures occasionally.
Known as respectable member of the school's teaching staff, most of his colleagues and the public had been scandalized by his recent behavior in a restaurant where he dined with two of his female students. The retired professor's questionable conduct in the city restaurant with the two frightened ladies had been photographed by one of the diners present in the vicinity.
Subsequently, the appalled diner posted the three photos of the erring professor online and commented that someone of his stature should not behave as he did.
In one of the pictures, Wang could allegedly be observed trying to touch the breasts of one of the girls having dinner with him. He could reportedly be seen attempting to force her head to snap upwards to gain more access. The photo also showed the female student trying her best to reject the male professor's advances.
In response to the pictures posted online, as well as the allegations surfacing pertaining to Wang's indecent behavior, the school launched an investigation. Following the confirmation of the accusations, the college has immediately barred Wang from partaking in whatever scientific study, academic research, or educational activity.
The school also decided to cut off the retirement subsidy he had been receiving, citing their "zero tolerance" over such indecent acts by their professors. In addition, the college provided an e-mail address and a phone number that students could sent complaints regarding such activities.
"Wang has severely violated the professional ethics of a teacher while causing a negative social impact as well as harm to the college's reputation," the school declared in a statement.
In a statement issued by Wang, he issued an apology and cited that his scandalous behavior had been the result of too much alcoholic drinks.
"It was my mistake to act improperly after I was drunk, and I apologize to both the victims and the college. I will ensure that no such thing will ever happen again," Wang stated.
Prior to issuing his apology, however, Wang refuted the allegations and claimed to have only been "communicating" with the victims.
In his initial response posted online last Saturday night, the retired college professor insisted he did nothing wrong. Although he claimed to have been drunk during the incident, he denied the same in his previous statements.
"My teaching style is 'talking while coaxing,' and what the photos show was the coaxing part," Wang claimed.
