Cameron Diaz sat down with Marie Claire for the magazine's November 2014 issue.

The "Sex Tape" actress still has not confirmed whether there is truth to her engagement with rocker Benji Madden or not.

"I'm not looking for a husband or a marriage or not not looking for that stuff," she said in the interview.

It seems she prefers to keep the public guessing, and continue on with just going with the flow. "I'm living, not thinking what I should or shouldn't be doing with my life," she said.

Diaz also opened up about what she thought about having a family of her own. "We live in a society where everyone has kids, so they want other people to have kids," the 42-year-old actress said.

"There is this culture that says celebrities are supposed to be just like us, so people think, 'I have children, why doesn't she?'" the actress points out.

However, with Diaz's personality, she is open to the idea of having children of her own. "If a family happens, then it happens. If children come to me, then I would do that, but I'm not someone who feels like she has to do something because it's expected."

Her laid-back attitude about life and family is also something she applies to her career.

Diaz's filmography is a testament to her willingness and ability to take risks to deliver the best work that she can.

In the interview, Diaz talked about her recent nude scene on "Sex Tape." "People have seen my butt. I've shown the top of my butt, the bottom of my butt. I'm not opposed to doing nudity, as long as it's part of the story," the actress said.

"I'll do whatever has to get done if it's the right thing."

Diaz also talked about one of her other risks -- starring in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Annie.

In the movie, Diaz plays Miss Hannigan, and that meant that she had to sing.

"It's not very often you get to do a musical. Even though I was terrified of doing it, I kind of had to," she shared.

"Two things I'm most terrified of are heights and singing in front of people. I've jumped out of airplanes and scaled sides of cliffs -- not to get over my fears, but to address them. I just felt like this is something that needed to be addressed."

The actress also shared a moment she had while on the set of "Annie."

"I cried uncontrollably. Everybody was so supportive and having fun with it because I was so pathetic, but the only way to get through scary things is to have a sense of humor about it," Diaz said.
