United States President Barack Obama met with some of his top national security officials and senior health administration aides on Monday to talk about Ebola and how the Dallas nurse was infected with the virus.
According to a statement released by the White House, the president was updated about the Dallas case, wherein a suspected breach of protocol had led to the nurse's infection, and the planned course of action to treat the health worker.

Obama's senior security officials said they have increased the number of personnel and other resources in Texas to help in the Ebola investigation. Additionally, aides have also increased efforts to train medical workers nationwide and to raise people's awareness about the virus.
The meeting took place in the Oval Office, and was attended by the president's top official on homeland security and counterterrorism issues, Lisa Monaco, national security adviser Susan Rice and Sylvia Burwell, the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Tom Frieden also joined the meeting by phone.
Obama also wanted to know if the health care system of the country is prepared to deal with the outbreak, the White House said.
During the meeting, the president told the officials that the investigation of the Dallas case must be expedited and "lessons learned must be utilized" to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
In addition, Obama said that prevention plans must be disseminated to all hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, during a phone call made to two world leaders, French President Francois Hollande and Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Obama has relayed plans on global efforts to prevent the further spread of the virus.
The White House meeting came after Frieden told hospitals to be on high alert for patients who were showing symptoms of Ebola, especially those who came in contact with possible Ebola suspects, such as those who travelled to the Ebola-ridden countries in West Africa.
