Yemen's president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Monday announced the appointment of a new Prime Minister, a move that was favored by the Shi'ite Muslim Houthi group.
The appointed prime minister was Khaled Bhah, the country's envoy to the United Nations, who was among the three candidates that the Houthi group has proposed for the position last week.

According to the president's aide, the group proposed Bahah's name after Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak rejected his appointment last week, following a strong objection by the rebel group.
Bahah's appointment is expected to end the conflict between the government and the Houthi rebels after the group took over Sanaa on September 21.
"We believe Bahah is the right person for the job," according to Houthi political bureau member Abdelmalek al-Ejri, adding that the new prime minister's appointment will help Yemen conquer the challenges it's currently facing.
Bahah, 49, is a master's degree holder who majored in administration, business and finance from the University of Pune in India.
Before being Yemen's diplomat to the United Nations, Bahah was a former oil minister.
According to political analysts, Bahah is a technocrat who is expected to tackle the country's public service in efforts to improve Yemen's political crisis, which began in 2011 and has led to the resignation of then president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Bahah's appointment came following a power sharing agreement entered by the Houthi rebels and major political parties at the presidential palace last month, which aimed to build an inclusive government between the Houthi's and a branch of an extremist group.
The Houthi's have originally taken over the northern part of Yemen, but has now overrun Sanaa after defeating the troops of an army general, who is affiliated to a Sunni Islamist group.
