After the unveiling of iPhone 6 last September and the announcement of new device releases to 36 more countries, data shows Apple's new smartphones and iPhone 5s are the top three selling mobile phones at all four major U.S. wireless carriers.

The new monthly wireless store survey came from Canaccord Genuity, a Canadian banking company, and shows how Apple dominates other mobile vendors in the United States.

Michael Walkley, analyst from Canaccord Genuity, said the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 was the top choice of American consumers at Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon for the month of September and the first part of October.

The iPhone 6 Plus with 5.5-inch display was the second choice at all major U.S. wireless carriers.

Walkley said Apple's iPhone 6 series was "by far" the top selling smartphones at all carriers and channels based on the data they've gathered.

On the other hand, the Cupertino-based company is also experiencing a "very limited supply" for its latest generation smartphones.

The study also discovered the iPhone 6 was entirely out of stock at all major American wireless companies and consumers need to wait for about two to three weeks for the new supply.

The typical waiting time for iPhone 6's availability is seven-plus days, according to Walkley.

iPhone 5s is the third placer at all major U.S. mobile carriers. It sells at two-year contract subsidy for US$99. The survey stated iPhone 5s have a steady demand at its new and lower selling price.

Apple, Inc. is gaining more market share with their iPhone 6 lineup, the survey showed.

"Apple is gaining material high-end market share with the price reductions in the iPhone 5s and very strong demand for the iPhone 6 models," said Walkley.

The data predicts Apple will be shipping 53.6 million iPhone units in the first quarter of 2015 and 209.6 million total units for the whole of 2015.
