China Ships Continue Search for Missing Plane

Even as authorities have already ruled out 12 suspicious objects found on a search area in Australia, China's ships have continued to search for signs of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

The search area has been widened to now cover 220,000 square kilometers of waters west of Australia's Perth. A total of seven planes and eight aircrafts have assisted the search on Wednesday, including four Chinese military vessels, said the Joint Agency Coordination Center.

The four Chinese military vessels have been tasked to search the southern part of the new area while three other ships have been designated to search the northern patch.

China Urges Malaysia To Continue Searching

The Chinese vessels will continue to search for the missing plane based on the orders of the Chinese government. Earlier, china asked Malaysia to continue the search for the MH370 and use all available resources to recover the plane.

Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui said the search for the missing plane should not stop even for a single day until the wreckage is discovered. He also urged Malaysian authorities to immediately share information and data it has in relation to the ongoing search.

He stressed that the Chinese government is ready to fully cooperate with the Malaysian side.

The missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was carrying 227 passengers, of which 154 are Chinese nationals.

No Objects in 11 Locations

The other day, the captain of Haixun 01 said it has not found any objects related to the missing Malaysian plane in the area earlier identified as having suspicious objects.

Captain Jiang Long said Chinese vessels were able to reach 11 locations in the Indian Ocean identified as having suspicious objects but the vessels reported that no substantial objects had been found.
