Chinese court sends 12 people to their deaths Monday for their involvement in terror attacks that left several people dead in southern China's restive Xinjiang province.
The Intermediate People's Court of Kashgar announced the punishments for about 58 suspected terrorists involved in Xinjiang terrorist attacks including 12 who were given the death sentence and 15 who will be sent to the death row after two years.

Yusup Abulat, Juma Kadeer, Osman Abulat, Memetiming Amar, and several others linked to the Uyghur minority group will be sent to their deaths after they were found guilty of leading, organizing, and taking part in terrorist groups, intentional homicide, arson, kidnapping, illegally producing explosives, and endangering public security.
Fifteen others will be joining them after two years in the death row.
According to the court, the suspects were part of a gang that went on a killing spree on July 28 where 37 civilians have been reported dead.
Authorities also revealed that the terrorist group also barricaded roads and stopped vehicles from passing before they began stabbing people both on the road and inside their vehicles.
The members of the group allegedly forced innocent people to join them in the attack, forcing law enforcers to use violence against violence.
On that dreadful day of bloodbath, police officers shot and killed nearly 60 of the assailants and took into custody 215 more after seizing their weapons, which included long knives and axes, as well as streamers hailing "holy war."
After investigations were made, authorities found out that Nuramat Sawut from Elixku township, who is connected with the terrorist organization East Turkestan Islamic Movement, led the group of assailants.
Nuramat, who had been killed by the police for spreading separatism in 2013, is a known religious extremist who allegedly organized the Shache terrorist attack.
Reports revealed that Osman, who had just joined the group, had force several others to join the attack.
