James Marsden (X-Men movie series) stars in the film as Dawson Cole who met his high school sweetheart Amanda Collier (played by Michelle Monaghan) after 20 years in their hometown because they both attended the funeral of a close friend.
Their reunion brought back memories of their past which lead to rekindling the flame of the love they once shared. Later on they realized why they had to be apart and it would appear that fate is giving them a second chance.
The story focused on the idea of having a first love and it is for the audience to find out if they will be able to get back together after being apart for 2 decades.
Nicolas Sparks always leave its readers sad about the ending of his book, but in the end they will remain hopeful about the fact that love exists.
This movie depicts how our decisions are affected when life is there handing out second chances. Will you take it or are you going to continue to move on with your current life?
The movie runs for 118 minutes and it will be released first in Los Angeles, California tomorrow October 15, 2014. Luke Bracey (Monte Carlo) and Liana Liberato (The Last Sin Eater) are also part of the cast.
The role of Dawson Cole was originally made for Paul Walker but since his death, it was later on offered to Marsden.
The Best of Me will be released worldwide on October 17 under Relativity Media.
