If you want a post-apocalyptic movie mixed with a lot of action, then this new movie franchise might be the one you are looking for. This one is called Mad Max: Fury Road and its first installment was actually released 3 decades ago. This is the 4^th part of the movie series and it is due for release on May 15, 2015.

This 4^th installment of the film will be directed, produced and also penned by academy award winning director for Babe and Happy Feet, George Miller. Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) will play the lead role as Mad Max.

The story is about Max, who found himself in a desert during a post-apocalyptic era. He has been living alone for the longest time until he met Furiosa (played by Charlize Theron), a woman who has this dream of getting out of that desert.

The movie promises a lot of action scenes that the viewers will really love. It took almost 25 years for this film to be developed. Lots of producers wanted to work on it but in the end decided not to go with it like Mel Gibson. He had his eye on the franchise but suddenly lost interest back in 2000.

Then came 2006 when Miller decided to pursue it even without Gibson's help so he and his team started working on the script and plot again. Finally in 2012, they started filming in Namibia where the story takes place. They only filmed for 3 months starting on July of that year and called it a wrap by October 2012. Leaks of the movie started circulating in that country, which lead the authorities to accuse the production for damaging some plants and animals in the area. Eventually, that was resolved so no charges were given to the team.

The official release date for Mad Max: Fury Road is on May 15, 2015 under Warner Brothers.
