Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak assured families of the passengers of Malaysia Airlines MH370 that search for the missing plane will continue and that there will soon be a closure on the incident.
Najib made the statement Thursday morning when he and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott visited an air force base in Perth which has served as a center for the multinational search operations.

Australia has been tasked to act as a representative in the investigation side by side with Malaysian authorities. Together, they will craft a comprehensive search plan to expedite the search operations.
Najib said they want to help and bring comfort to the families and that they will continue searching until they bring a closure to the incident.
"In due time, we will provide a closure for this event," he said, without clarifying if that meant a nearing end to the search, now on its 28th day, which has not yielded any positive sightings of the missing plane.
Meanwhile, despite the brief misunderstanding and verbal tussle between China and Malaysia over flight MH370, China thanked Malaysian officials for their valuable contribution in leading the search teams and reassured them that the incident has not, in any way, strained the relationship between the two countries.
The Chinese Ambassador praised the Malaysian authorities for their dedication to the search efforts and branded as "excellent" its work in taking care of the families of the passengers.
"Malaysia and China are family, we are good partners, we are friends and we are good neighbors. Don't worry, this is just and incident that will not affect our relations," Ambassador Huang Hukiang said in a press conference.
He also specifically expressed gratitude to the Malaysian people for their friendship and volunteers in this time of crisis, whom, he said were by China's side.
Malaysia Airlines, en route to Beijing, was carrying 239 passengers, 154 of them Chinese citizens when it went missing.
Malaysian officials had declared that the plane crashed somewhere in the Indian Ocean with "all lives lost."
Various debris have come up in satellites and radars but none has been linked to the plane's wreckage.
